One Brown Planet is an activist community group promoting respect for the environment and sustainable living by reducing waste from our everyday lives!
I love to travel, so far around 70 Countries and counting. A few years ago, for about 5 years, I sailed around the world. It was during this voyage that I started to notice the incredible amount of plastic pollution and other waste being poured into the oceans. Further out to sea, unregulated and unsustainable fishing was rampant. From The Galapagos to the USA, everywhere you looked was pollution. It broke my heart but forced me to think about the challenges we are facing in order to get the world going in a more sustainable direction.
So now, I do what I can to try and reduce my ecological footprint and with One Brown Planet I am hoping to raise awareness of the issues our planet faces, whilst at the same time, offering a few solutions. We are only small but a growing voice in Asia. Right now we are based in Taiwan and Thailand and get involved with beach cleans and other projects all designed to help raise awareness of the issues is sustainability. We write about local and international issues as well as good news stories and things we can all do to help.
